Petition to Dr. Sam Gulino, Chief Medical Examiner, Philadelphia

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the bodies of the babies found in the clinic of Dr Kermit Gosnell be released to Fr. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life to give them a proper funeral and burial.

We wish to honor these babies who were so brutally killed and restore some measure of dignity to them. 

In the Christian Church, this practice is, of course, one of the corporal works of mercy, to bury the dead. In the United States of America, both Christians and non-Christians understand the importance of treating the body with respect.

Amidst the din of political, philosophical, and religious arguments about abortion, our society easily loses sight of the fact that we are talking about real people.

Please allow us to give these children the respect they were not given during their brief lives.
